Fall Rose Care

You should have already done your August pruning.  This time of year avoid any hard pruning until next February.  Frost in our region usually appears during the first few weeks in November.   You can cut off the old blooms only if you must.  One last water soluble fertilizer application is acceptable, use fertilizers that have lower nitrogen and higher in phosphorous and potassium.  Keep your roses watered.  Fall rose blooms are some of the best of year.
