Long Winter’s Nap

The Upstate has had several hard freezes, meaning our roses are in a semi-dormant state.  If you prefer, you can cut off all your leaves with black spot on them.  If any of your hybrid tea or grandiflora roses are over 5 feet, you can cut them down to 4 feet.  This should help prevent heavy wind and severe ice damage.  Otherwise, we can take a rest from our rose chores and dream of new roses in the spring.
