Cooler temperatures mean better roses! Some of the best roses of the season grow bigger and with deeper coloration this time of year. This also means it is a great time to attend or enter a rose show. From Friday, October 10th through Sunday, October 12, 2025 come to the South Carolina State Fair and enjoy a display of hundreds of perfect roses and amazing rose arrangements created by the best arrangers in North and South Carolina. Judging begins at 10 am on Friday and the rose show opens to the public around Noon.
Keep up your disease prevention program and watering. You can still fertilize with a water soluble food or use an organic one, like alfalfa meal or Epoma’s Plant Tone.
