The recent snow is insulation for your roses, but won’t be around for long. Time to sharpen, if needed, and oil your pruners. Beginning now, you can begin pruning your landscape type roses, like Knock Outs’, Drift Roses and other hardy roses. Wait to prune you hybrid teas, grandifloras and floribundas until March. Late unpredictable freezes can severely damage these roses. Better to be cautious and wait.
