Hopefully you have finished pruning your roses by now. Have you had your soil tested by the Clemson Extension Services? The soil test will give you fertilizer recommendations. Soil temperatures are starting to warm, so now is the time to fertilize. Apply around the drip line of your roses some type extended release fertilizer such as Osmocote, Stay Green, Dynamite, etc. and an organic type, such as Espoma’s Plant Tone, Mill’s Magic Mix, Fox Farm, Dr. Earth, etc. Always water after you fertilize.
