The End is Near

The End is Near, well almost, at least for the rose season.  Our first hard freeze will be (or was) on November 11th. Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Those temps will kill any tender new rose growth.  I will be moving my younger roses into my garage.  However, if you have any new growth on your roses, you can cover them with a lighter fleece blanket.  Warmer days will come too, and you will probably still have some rose blooms until Thanksgiving.  Do water your roses anytime temperatures are going to be below freezing.  Especially, rose in containers.  Dry rose roots will freeze before wet rose roots.

A Happy and delicious Thanksgiving Everyone!
